Hi,
i want to know whether Rip version 2 is hybrid protocol or distance vector protocol.some books are saying it is distance vector, and some other books are saying hybrid.

It's definitely a distance vector protocol, there's nothing in it that would make it anything else.

RIPv2 is a distance vector protocol, you
probably confused it with EIGRP which is
indeed considered as a hybrid protocol in
many sources.
One of the major difference between distance
and link-state protocols is with the first
ones router shares information about directly
connected neighbors and with the link-state
ones about directly connected links.
RIPv2 is essentially the same protocol as
RIPv1 (which is distance-vector)but has
number of improvements such as subnet mask
in updates, authentication, multicast,tags
and etc.
