Hi, has anyone installed LMS on VMware products in a production enviroment and if so did they encounter any problems? Does anyone know if Cisco has changed there out-dated line that LMS is not supported if installed on virtual hardware?
Thanks in advance.

We have requests for VMWare support, and it most likely will happen, but I do not have a timetable for when that will be.

LMS is still not supported on any virtualized OS. This is documented on Cisco.com at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/cw2000_b/lms/lms26/lms26qn.htm#wp1063238 .

Hi, is there a technical reason for this or ignorance at Cisco?
Thanks.

We have not done any formal testing on VMWare or any other virtualization platform. It would be irresponsible to support it until full regression and feature testing can be done.

Hi, any idea if there is a timescale for the testing to be completed?
Thanks.

I'd like to dito on the When are Cisco going to perform there testing to establish formal support for LMS installation on VMWare.
The vast majority of large enterprises are running large Virtual environments generally in VMWare ESX. We really need Cisco to get on board here..

It's in the works, but the official testing likely won't begin until after LMS 3.0 comes out next month.
