VPN Hub and Spoke configuration

Hi all,

I'm trying to understand a config.

This is a Hub and Spoke VPN over MPLS.

There is a PE with a VRF configured as the Hub.

There are other PEs with several VRFs acting as the Spokes.

Everything looks clear to me except for a detail, in the PEs where the spokes are configured there is a kind of major VRF also configured... this VRF inport and export the same than the rest of the spoke VRFs... so... I would like to know the reason of configuring that VRF, I thought that It was enough just with the spokes.
