We keep getting an error message stating that the DN entry is incorrect. We have tried every flavor of cn=xx,o=xx,ou=xx but with no luck. Has anyone else had success with this and if so, could you shine some light on this for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated....

I just did an integration of CM 5.1 to AD,
make sure your search base distinguish name starts from the bottom, fo example assume you AD strucutre:
AD Forest - comnpanyX.com
OU - production
CN - users
the the string should be:
CN=users, OU=production, DC=companyX, DC=com
make sure that the ldap authentication user you specifed has access to the LDAP.
