needs H323 configuration example

hi all,

i have 2811 voice gateway with only 2 vic2-4fxo ports.

please can any one provide me with H323 configuration example that matches my case with a brief discription because i didn't configure H323 gateway before.

so please help

BASIC RUN DOWN


1. configure dial-peers on router

example, if you have an fxo port say 1/0/0

and you want all calls to go through that

then


dial-peer voice 1 pot

destination-pattern .T

port 1/0/0



then for incoming calls to reach an extension create and VOIP dial-peer sending it to the ip of your CCM.


3. create an h323 gateway under device/gateway config. specify the IP of the rtr. it will always come up with unknown but with the ip registered. Make sure your CSS is correct.


4. create a route-pattern to whatever number you desire to pass through the FXO and under select gateway/hunt-list select the gateway.(Note to select specific ports first you need to use the preference command in the dial-peer)


basically, thats it however, there are a few other configs to ensure that voice takes the correct path. bind to the interface you want voice to pass,remove VAD if you hear "voice cuts on the line" allow rtp send-receve if you experience one-way audio(could be several other factors as well that may cause this).

What is missing from this answer is the two h323-gateway lines un der one of the interfaces you need to choose to attach the h323-gateway to it as follows;

for example if you choose the loopback interface

you will have to have

h323-gateway voice interfcae enabled under this one and also the h323-gateway bind line is also enabled under it . Also you will have to use this interface ip add on the call manager when you configure the gateway in the device -- gateway -- h323-gateway type.
