Dear All,
There are 5 Switch in my single fabric.
I have no idea when I actived the IVR zoneset, it showed the fabric lock.
What situations can cause the fabric lock?
Thank you,
Dennis

Fabric lock is a function of CFS.
A fabric lock is issued when when one switch in the fabric attempts to configure a CFS enabled application.
The fabric lock is released when the change is committed to the fabric.
You can learn more about it by reading this link -

Thanks for your infomation.
In my configrations, I can not active IVR zoneset due to existing Qlogic SANBox switch.
And I found some information as following:
Be sure to add IVR virtual domains if the following conditions apply:
?When an IVR zone set is not active.
?If Cisco SN5428 or Qlogic SANBox switches exist in the VSAN.
So, I need to add some domains (domain id?) to IVR configurations, right?

Yeah, that is a nice piece of the puzzle.
The issue is covered in this link -
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps5989/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a008040fa3a.html
But in essence, there is a name resolution problem.
If you define a virtual domain in your ivr config (howto is in the link) it will allow the two fabrics to become fully aware of each other.
