Hi All

I am not sure if this is the right forum to post this discussion, But appreciate if anyone could input some idea for me

I have a SSM-10 card configured in my ASA 5560. I am able to access the interface and configure the trendmicro setting. The only issue I am facing is I am not able to update the Pattern file at all.I have even change the DNS configuration to point to a DNS server that is able to resolve external dns, but I kept getting the error that it cant contract the Trend micro server

Regards

Shawn

Hi Shawn,

The "Firewalling" group may have been better.

However, for the SSM to contact Trend, the following must be true:

- Physical Ethernet port on SSM card must be connected to a network that can reach the Internet.

- Most customers plug the SSM's physical port into the inside network of the ASA. If you do, then ensure the default gateway configured on the SSM is the ASA's inside interface

- Following the previous bullet, ensure that the SSM's IP is able to get out through the ASS (interface ACL and NAT/PAT statements allow it).

That's about all there is.

Sincerely,

David.
