I use to have the following working on the old version of Ciscoworks -

when there is power supply failure, blade failure and when the Switch goes down e.g.

Customizing DFM to Send Emails Selectively

In the following examples:

Profiles are GA_ChoiceSubscription

Exceptions alarms (purple) are Compounds

Faults alarms (Orange) are Symptoms

For each alarm email, create a unique profile in the mail_notify.conf file

How do I get this working in the new version Ciscoworks 2.6?

This is all done in the GUI in DFM 2.0. What you need to do is create a Notification Subscription (Under Notification Services) to match the events you are interested in. To avoid being innundated with useless emails, I would avoid enabling anything for alerts. Alerts are analagous to the old purple compounds. Events are the atomic problems or symptoms on your network devices.

The Notification Services online help should be good enough to get you through setting this up.
