Hi
I have CallManager 4.1(3) on one site and a Nortel Meridian system on another.
I am not supporting the Nortel system but I need to integrate the 2. The Nortel
system is as follows
5 cabinet Option 11, succession 3..with basic feature set.
These will be talking through a 3825 isr router.
There is no requirement to pass phonebook directory traffic to display
extension numbers etc.
The pbx guys are telling me I need to have the Nortel feature set upgraded to
an Enhanced feature set is order to pass qsig messages. I found this odd. Can I
not buy a qsig license?
Thanks
Michael

You do not have to use QSIG, you can use any isdn switch-type, I would recommand using National NI, which will give you the caller ID and name. You need QSIG if you require some advance features i.e. MWI from CallPilot VM system, etc.

Hi Michael,
Just to add a note to Chris's excellent info. We run a CCM/Nortel hybrid using DMS100 protocol. Here are some good integration docs;
We are running the setup using a 61c.The connection's between the Nortel(NT5D12Ax Dual PRI cards) and Cisco are PRI's (using DMS100 protocol). We are running 25.40 on the Nortel.

Hi Rob
thanks for that reply. To be honest my main concern is the fact of having to upgrade the Nortel system. Doesnt look like I have to now.
