CCSP

Unanswered Question
Apr 3rd, 2007

I have been away from the exams for a while.

Here is my current status:

My CCNA expired in August 2005. It was my overlook that I then passed 642-501 and 642-521 without knowing that the CCNA needs to be valid to continue others.

It's been over a year. My question is: are 642-501 and 642-521 can still be used for me to go for CCSP? I know I have to retake CCNA as my first step now. Please advise.

Yes, these 2 exams will still count towards CCSP as long as you retake the CCNA and complete all CCSP requirements within 3 years of passing the first CCSP exam. Take a look at the following link.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Yes, 642-501 is retired, but was taken by the original poster within the last 3 years. As indicated in the link in my previous post, a retired exam will count toward a given certification as long as all exams are completed within a 3 year time period.
