I have a customer site that wants to use extension mobility on every phone at the site. We are looking at between 900 and 1000 phones. The service parameter setting shows a maximum concurrent requests of 30. Does this limit the number of users logging in at the same time, or does it limit the maximum number that can use extension mobility at any one time? We are using callmanager 5.0.4.2130-1.

Hi Edwin,
This number is the maximum number of concurrent or simultaneous Login/Logouts. I would think that 30 would be plenty :)
At the Maximum Concurrent Requests field, specify the maximum number of login or logout operations that can occur simultaneously. This number prevents the Cisco Extension Mobility service from consuming excessive system resources. The default value, which specifies 5, addresses most scenarios adequately.
From this good CCM 5.0.4 doc;
Hope this helps!

Thanks, Rob. So as long as everyone isn't logging into EM at exactly the same time we should have no problems with this many phones using extension mobility.

Hi Edwin,
Exactly :) Unless everyone wants to login at the exact same moment you should be good to go!

Hello Rob,
we have one cluster roughly 30,000 users and most of them ate EM users except conf phone/fax/wall mount phones ......
could you please tell whats the maximum limit for haviing all 30,000 users as EM in same cluster and will that effect any other performance issues ...etc
