Hi,
I am looking for alternative solution other than to have CCM 5 to support SIP. Is any third party product or solution to make CCM 4.1 support SIP.
Thank you in advance.

You can use a SIP proxy server. Take a look at the Cisco SIP Proxy Server below.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2157/index.html
The downside is this product is EOS/EOL. The last date to order is 5/31/07. There are other SIP proxy servers out there. Just do a search for "SIP proxy".
Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Hi belkin,
You could use asterisk server with an intercluster-trunk to the ccm 4.1. It works fine in the lab :-)
You can register sip (and also some sccp) phones on the asterisk and make calls to phones on the ccm 4.1 or to gateways registered to the ccm via the sip trunk.
Be sure that you will only have a subset of the ccm features.
When you google for trixbox (which is an out of the box asterisk with gui and wich is also as an vmware image available) you can find a way how to connect the asterisk to the ccm.
Greetings,
kai

Hi,
A router with CME will work fine. Most SIP phones are known to work without issues.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!/
