We recently changes a content rule from round robin to weighted round robin.
With round robin, if a server fell out of the pack then came back online the CSS would still issue requests in a round robin fashion to all servers.
With weighted round robin, what 'seems' to happen is that the CSS sends the majority of request to the server that has just come back online.
Is this how it is supposed to work ? If so we have a potential issue with a single server being flooded by new connections.
