Does anybody know what are the benefits of using the ip default-network command?

Hi ,
Using default-network command is same as using default route propagation
It is configured in routing protocol process to use the default-network when a suitable route is not found in its routing table.

What I have noticed is that once I use this command as follows on router A:
Router A#
router eigrp 2
network 172.33.0.0
ip classless
ip default-network 172.33.0.0
I will get the following on router B:
Router B#show ip route
Gateway of last resort is 10.5.1.1 to network 172.33.0.0
How would I interpret that?? If there is no suitable route found on the routing table use the last resort 10.5.1.1?? or if you dont have a suitable route to network 172.33.0.0 use 10.5.1.1. How can I read this sentence added after I used the ip default-network commad?

Yes network 172.33.0.0 is the last resort for any route not in routing table.
Because this is router B routing table.
it is showing the route to reach default network is via 10.5.1.1 .
