We are in the process of designing our core, and for reasons of Multicasting, and isolation we my co worker has decided to use MPLS at a layer 2,

Overview

End users and remote sites will be VPNing into our core using DVI/VTI tunnels, after registering into our network, they will be gaining access to virtual servers running VMware. The reason for going MPLS was in order to isolate one virtual server instance from the rest of the virtual servers, for this reason my associate has decided to use MPLS at layer 2 in order to control the multicasting/uniscasting by use of labels, and making the VPNs VRF Aware. Can someone give me there recommendations

A separate function is required to enable IP multicast over a Multiprotocol Label Switching Virtual Private Networks (MPLS VPNs) network, as MPLS has no native ability to support it,.
