I don't know how to disable it via the GUI but via the command-line interface you can do the following:

interface fa0/1

no switchport port-security

no spanning-tree bpduguard

Or for a range of ports you can do:

interface range fa0/1 - 4, fa0/15

no switchport port-security

no spanning-tree bpduguard

Great, can anyone tell me how to get into the command line interface, I cant seem to telnet into this switch and I also tried a console cable but nada.

Looks like these particular devices dont come with a Command Line Interface, is there anyway at all to change these port settings or am I out of luck

Hi,

I haven't personally used a Cat 500 series switch. But, I found this document that should help you disable port security and bpduguard. What you are seeing is the default behavior of smartport role selected for that port and you may have to change the role to something like 'other' to disable the feature(s).

Here it is for your reference;
