I inherited this unity system, that have 5 call handlers, already in place. although we need to change the main greeting for the main call handler, but i cant figure it out how to change the main greeting and if so, can we do it over the phone instead of uploading the wav file into unity?

thank you for your time

Found it!

You must create a CUGA call handler, in case someone needs the instructions here they are

1.-Create a call handler called CUGA (or a name of your choice)

2.-Assign an extension number to the handler that you would like to change the greeting of )far outside the range that a normal caller would ever dial. Keep in mind that this extension is only dialed from within unity.

3.-On the call transfer page, enable the alternate rule under the transfer rule applies to:heading and set the transfer incoming calls?to NO!, (sent directly to this handler's greeting)

4.-On the greetings page, set the recording source to blank. Set the After greeting:action to send the caller to: and select the Greetings Adminstrator.

5.-Click the save icon in the little strip.

Cesar,

There is an even easier way to do this.

a. In callmanager obviously to send the call to Unity you may need to setup a CTI route point to callforward all to voicemail. Lets just assume this number is 2000.

b. Just create a call routing rule in Unity This should be a Forwarding rule and the Forwarding station field should be set to 2000. Tell the rule to send the call to CUGA. CUGA is already built in the system. So you dont need to create an additional callhandler to send the call to CUGA.

c. CUGA will ask you to sign in and then you will be able to change greetings of callhandlers that you own. (Remember to set the owner to the appropriate subscriber who changes greetings as well).

Thank you very much for the tip, I guess when you deal with cisco "items" you can always find different "routes".

Thank you again for your tip
