Hi guys,
I've problem with allowing the Microsoft Updates and TrendMicro OfficeScan from the internet. For your information, my organization is using Cisco ASA 5500 Firewall. Please give me some advices to solve the problem.
Check the FW logs pertaining to the Microsoft and Symantec update sites (URL or IP Address) and determine what rule blocks it. You need to open host access to those sites and the necessary ports. PIX doesn't support domain object creation, therefore you have to use IP Address
Thanks for your advice. Anyway, how do i know which port numbers that Microsoft and TrendMicro updates use from the FW logs? It just mentioned the file type that being block and the URL.
I would be very grateful if you can help me on this.
