From 2000 to 2003...or for example, 2000.4.2 to 2000.4.X???

2000.4.2 to 2000.4.x

I haven't run across a bad upgrade yet.

Everyone I have done has gone through quite smoothly. Just follow along in the readme's for the OS upgrade and it should go fine.

It's about as exciting as watching paint dry, but it has been very painless

Hi,

As all the Win patches and/or updates are extensively tested by Cisco for their products, it is recommended to apply those patches and/or updates from Cisco website.

Just to add a note to Sohail and Mattew's good info. Make sure that you spend some time going through the Read-me notes for your OS upgrade. Pay special attention to compatability requirements, important considerations etc. I have attached some good getting started docs for your planned upgrade. thanks guys i'll give a try and let you know!

Its always good to have a solid bars backup and a system backup using ghost or acronis before attempting an OS or CM upgrade. You never know what could go wrong.
