IDS 4235 with IPS 5

I'm using IDS 4235 running IPS 5.1(5).in inline (connected directly with outside router) mode with 4 FE card.

i noticed that it slowed down my network very much (my internet connection is 2M SHDSL) even when no configurations but the default one is applied.

when running ips in bypass mode it works just fine.

I think even with no config the IPS still process the packet's passing through it but it wont take any action against them. Your problem could be related to cisco bug CSCsc37875.
