HI,

Can any one suggest me what all the necessary steps to be taken to study the existing network and and generate a report.

How to study teh network performance using Cisco CLI commands?

Hi

what I ususally do is have chapters for

1-network overview, layer 2, equipment used, purpose and overall services provided.

2-detail Layer 2 with map.

3-layer 3 , IGP used.

3-QOS

4-Security.

5-services and traffic flow.

at the end, you could add your recommendation and comments on shortcomings of the design or configs, scalability issues, convergence.

It really varies also, depending on your goals and requirements. But this should give you an idea. it is all about structured and layered approach.
