Hi all,

I have a Cisco 5400 router with 4 E1 ports, used for origination. Is it possible to bind a specific pots dial-peer (or voice-port) to a specific voip dial-peer? in other words:

-all calls received from E1/0 should use dial-peer 100 voip

-all calls received from E1/1 should use dial-peer 101 voip

-all calls received from E1/2 should use dial-peer 102 voip

-all calls received from E1/3 should use dial-peer 103 voip

Thanks,

Marc

You should be able to just specify the port on your dial-peer. This will force all calls to route out that specific port only.

Yes you can do that. The technique is to use translation-profile at port or pots DP level, to add a special prefix that will match the dial-peer of your choice. Said dial-peer will remove the special prefix before sending out the call.

See the following document, that is about voip-to-pots, but uses the same technique.

Hope this helps, if so pleas rate post!
