I am interested in finding out, if I have a tunneled in (established IPSec connection via remote VPN) and then what happens if external interface becomes unavailable?
Do I still maintain connection, if I my tunneled gateway is on internal interface?
I think the tunnel will still be there for some time even after the external interface becomes unavailable however traffic will not be able to flow. I think clearing the security associations can help to remove the connection.
