ACS upgrade to 4.1 fails

I'm trying to upgrade from ACS 3.3.3 to ACS 4.1. The installer comes to 99%, and then aborts. Event viewer reports on some Dr.Watson error, application error in _INS5576._MP. Any ideas? I'm running on a VMWare server with 1 GB RAM, lots of disk. OS: Windows 2003 Server with SP1.

BTW: Install of ACS 3.3.3 is fresh, no problems with install.

Problem solved! I mounted the upgrade CD directly in the VMWare server and now the installation works.

I first tried to use an ISO image of the CD that was FTP'ed to the VMWare server and mounted on the guest OS. Either the image is corrupt or the installation doesn't work from ISO image (copy protection???).
