How To Show Active ISDN Calls with MGCP GW

Hello,

We recently migrated from CME to full CCM. We converted our old CME into a gateway for CCM.

Before, if I wanted to see the called/calling number on the gateway I could do a "sh isdn active" However, now that it's moved into CCM as an MGCP gateway, this doesn't work anymore. You can run the command, but it doesn't show anything.

You can do a "show voic call status", but this doesn't show the details of who's calling or being called.

CallID CID ccVdb Port DSP/Ch Called # Codec Dial-peers

0xE50E1 3A4D 0x65277580 1/0:23.23 2/2 * g711ulaw 0/0

0xE50F9 3A59 0x6567C2B4 1/1:23.19 2/1 * g711ulaw 0/0

0xE516B 3A92 0x65277580 1/0:23.18 4/3 * g711ulaw 0/0

0xE5181 3A9D 0x65277580 1/0:23.17 3/2 * g711ulaw 0/0

0xE5185 3A9F 0x65277580 1/0:23.16 3/5 * g711ulaw 0/0

0xE5199 3AA9 0x65277580 1/0:23.20 3/1 * g711ulaw 0/0

0xE51A7 3AB0 0x65277580 1/0:23.15 4/4 * g711ulaw 0/0

Any idea on how I can see who's calling whom?

Thanks,

Dave

Perhaps "sh call active voice compact" works with MGCP ? Probably not.

So the right place to look is CCM I guess.

sho cal active voice would only give you the far end side numbers... Problem is MGCP gateway actually functions as an "extension" of the callmanager (unlike H.323 where a gateway is sort of a "fully qualified" PBX sending and receiving calls from another "fully qualified" PBX, the callmanager).

So, from all of this should I conclude that there's no way to see active calls on an MGCP gateway at a given time?

Thanks,

Dave

I've been trying to figure out a command that lets you do this for years, and haven't been able to come up with anything.

you could do a debug isdn q931 that would show the calling and called number. It would however only show when the call is made or tore down. I think this is as close as your going to get on the router side without looking in callmanager traces.

Dear Friend,

Try to use the following command:

--GW#sh call active voice brief--

Using this command you go to view all calls active in your GW - incoming and outgoing calls.
