Connecting CallManager and other VoIP systems..

Unanswered Question

I'm not sure it's the best place to ask my question..

I was wondering if it's possible to connect Cisco Call Manager (4.2) and other VoIP Systems (other brands)..

I have 2 CallManagers (SUB and PUB)... And 1 Nortel BCM with analog ports..

I'll try using Cisco ATA to be able to "communicate" between both systems.. I think it'll work..

But I was wondering if there were other ways.. I've read about H.323 trunk between the systems??

Someone ever done something like that?

I have this problem too.

It is possible to use h323 to trunk between the two systems... It can be as simple as adding the non-Cisco system as an h323 gateway and setting up route patterns etc to point to it.

Of course you will need to mirror this configuration on the other manufacturer's kit.

Depending on the other manufacturers' implementation of the h323 protocol you will have varying degrees of success and feature support.

This link has some good examples of some configs for different PBXs:
