Hi all,

We are not able to get the config via snmp from a 837 box. It has the same config than 1721 and 2800 which works good... so... here is some information:

*Apr 9 02:58:51:

Incoming SNMP packet

*Apr 9 02:58:51: v1 packet

*Apr 9 02:58:51: community string: write

*Apr 9 02:58:51: SNMP: Response, reqid 14069, errstat 2, erridx 1

ciscoMgmt.96.1.1.1.1.5.24565 = 10.9.130.33

*Apr 9 02:58:51: SNMP: Packet sent via UDP to 10.9.130.33

*Apr 9 02:58:51: SNMP: Packet received via UDP from 10.9.130.33 on Tunnel1

*Apr 9 02:58:51: SNMP: Set request, reqid 14147, errstat 0, erridx 0

ciscoMgmt.96.1.1.1.1.6.24565 = SCM_0x411099

*Apr 9 02:58:51:

Is there any tool on the Cisco internal website in order to decode that info? I've tried whith the output interpreter and error decoder but no way...

thx in advance,

The CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB is not supported in this IOS. You will not be able to copy the config that way. Try the steps documented at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk362/technologies_tech_note09186a008009463e.shtml#copying1 .

The key here is the errstat and erridx. erridx is the first varbind in your packet. errstat 2 indicates that the object being referenced does not exist (i.e. noSuchName). What exactly does your SNMP set operations look like? What image is running on this router?

Hi,

The IOS version is c837-k9o3y6-mz.123-8.T11.bin

Here is the snmp config on the router:

snmp-server community x RO 80

snmp-server community y RW 81

snmp-server enable traps snmp authentication linkdown linkup coldstart warmstart

snmp-server enable traps config

That config works good for 1721 and 2800 routers.

Thanks,

snmp-server host 10.9.130.33 x
