Unity Transfer To An Extension

I know you can setup a System Transfer to allow callers to dial any extension as long as the Restriction Table allow, but I just found (I guess I missed the obivious!) that you can just dial a subscriber from the main greeting call handler as long as the 1st number of the extension doesn't over lap with a menu option. This doesn't seem to use any restriction tables either, but you can only dial vaild Unity Subscribers so it's not a solution to dial ANY extension. Has that option always been in Unity? Thanks!

Yes, it's always been there - way back to the 2.x days many moons ago.

Also, you can dial extensions even if you have a user input key mapped that overlaps. It's only going to deny that if you "lock" that key such that no further input is allowed (this is not the default) - when you lock a key, action is taken on it immediate when dialed, it does not wait to see if you'll dial more digits. If you have it mapped to an action but not locked, you can still dial subscriber and call handler extensions that start with that digit no problem.

The key was "locked". That was the fix for me. Thanks!
