CCNA re-certfication

My CCNA certification expired on July 2006, To recertify can I do one of 642 prefix series exam?

to my knowledge, you will have to take the CCNA again. If you had had your CCNA valid and then taken the CCNP track (and completed) then that would have renewed your CCNA cert.

Recertification Options Certification Level Recertification Options CCNA & CCDA certifications

Complete one of the following recertification options:

Pass the current certification exam

Pass a Specialist exam bearing a 642 prefix, or pass a Specialist exam after November 3, 2003 (excluding Sales Specialist exams)

Pass any Professional level exam bearing a 642 prefix

Advancing to the next level or recertifying at the Professional level automatically renews all related Associate level certifications

Pass any current CCIE written exam
