VPN Client Connects but no connectivity | SBS2003 Std Problem?

Hi - This may be a common problem, I'm new to VPNs so please be kind!

We have a small network with a server running SBS2003 Std with only a basic firewall - it does not run ISA server.

The configuration is:-

Internet <---> Router/Modem <---> External NIC (10.0.0.x) <---> Server <---> Internal NIC (192.168.0.x) <---> Internal Network.

The problem is that our internal SBS clients are unable to use the Cisco VPN client to access resources on an external server.

The VPN client connects but with no connectivity, it fails the ping test. I have tried adjusting the network metric so that VPN is 1 and LAN connection is 100 on clients but no luck.

I have attached ipconfig and route print output from the client machine.

Can some help? We really need access to the VPN.

FTR, if we bypass the server the VPN works perfectly.

Best - James

Check for firewalls on the server.Check if the corresponding port numbers are opened on the server.Check for the routing issues.
