I had to rush into work yesterday morning because we were experiencing connectivity issues out of our network operations center. When I arrived everything seemed normal, but when I logged into our Cisco 4506 (which is the core device in our NOC) most things looked normal, I could see all my neighbor devices with CDP, but I could not ping anything, not even device that were directly connected through CDP. The lights on all the power supplies and modules were all green, so the hardware appears to be fine. My vlan database was intact, but nothing was working, so I put in a temporary switch and had to move some things around to restore service. My co-worker cut the power to the rack during the move, and when the 4506 came back up it is now stuck in an endless reboot cycle.
I am not sure what is wrong with the device, has anyone ever run into this problem before? Thanks.
