Hi,
I'm in the pre-sales stage of a new WLAN for a large(ish) hotel (32 AP's). We are proposing a 4402 WLC and AP1010's.
It turns out that the customer does not want the added effort of generating one time user credentials for the guests. Is there a way to 'bulk' generate some credentials so that the receptionists can just hand them out to the guests upon check-in? or can one username be used by multiple users?
Security isn't a big concern here, as the WLAN is completly seperate to the rest of the corporate network. The customer just wants to provide complimentary internet access to guests, but to dissuade 'walk-in' users from scabbing freebie internet access.
Regards,
Dan.

Hi Dan,
You should be able to use the Lobby Ambassador Feature for just this purpose :) If you created perhaps 1 username per floor in the Hotel and set them as permanent accounts (4 zero's no expiry date) you should be good to go!
Example: guest11 (for the 11th floor)
Multiple users can be logged in using the same username.
Creating Guest User Accounts as a Lobby Ambassador
From this good doc;
Hope this helps!
