I have 2 3020 Concentrators that are both running the 4.7.2.I Aug 03 2006 16:30:26 code. The issue I am having is that backup will not go into backup mode, but stays in INIT mode. This is due to the fact, whenever I enable VRRP. Save.. Then, come back to the Redundancy Section it is disabled. Any ideas?

Try as a workaround Shut/no-shut the affected interface. or try upgrading to the latest IOS
