CSA 5.1 - Disabling USB/removable drives

Hi,

As a part of org policy, I want to disable access to any files on USB drive/ any removable drive. Can anyone suggest if it is possible to disable the USB drive/removable drives on CSA ?

I beleive we can only select the file type to block by @removable\*.doc etc.

Pls suggest. Thanks in Advance.

Yes, it is possible using the @removable variable like this:

@removable:\**\*.doc

There is a sensitive data rule in 5.2 you can look at.

Hi, Thx for replying. by 5.2 you mean ver CSA 5.2. The requirement is to stop preventing access to any removable drive and not certain file types only.

Yes, I was referring to CSA version 5.2.

and to block any file you'd use @removable:\**\*.* is all.

Be careful because this file set is used by all the rules in that module (unless you created a separate one).
