Dear Friends

I have a Cisco CallManger 4.2 with 2800 series gateway and ATA's.

E1 is connected with the gateway. Now when i try to send faxes from my fax machine through the ATA some times the fax reaches the destination

correctly and sometimes not .Same is recieving some times it works and sometimes it does not .

I have not applied any special configuration on E1 for FAX calls .Normal config whcih is

dial-peer voice 100 voip

description Forward Inbound Calls to CM (Subsriber)

preference 1

destination-pattern 8...

voice-class codec 1

voice-class h323 1

session target ipv4:10.7.0.13

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

no vad

Do i need to configure anything on the gateway or ccm or ATA to correct this issue?

Please advise.

regards

First of I'd check your E1 clocking - if this is out then you will get issues like this.

Do a sh controllers e1, check for slips.

If you have them, set your clocking up like so:

network-clock-participate wic 0

network-clock-select 1 e1 0/0/0

Obviously use numbers applicable to your install.

Aaron
