We are looking for a soluation for a connectivity of PC with simple PSTN moddem to router PRI. Line. This setup is similar to that of ISP who supports dialup connections to internet users. Any link on Cisco.com is highly appreciable. First we are looking for connectivity , once connectivity is established next plan is to have VPN between PC to Router. Do we need any VPN client s/w running on PC ?

Any configuration example on Cisco ?

Pls see attachment.

Thanks in advance.

sure, you can use a small router like the 2801 with VWIC2 and PVDM2-12, -24 or -36 depending on how many calls you need to support.

Note that decoding analog modem data over phone pair or PRI requires sniffing product not exactly available to everyone so security show no be a concern.

However, if you want VPN in the PC you load a software called VPN client. You can terminate this VPN in the same router as above or a different one.

Hope this hels, if so please rate post

Hi, p. Bevilacqua

Thanks for you feed back.

We already have PRI controller card installed on routers used for ISDN connectivity.

How can we configure the router for a PC with Modem connectivity.

Any example on cisco.com

Thanks and Regards
