I would like to know how to check the current interface usage on 6509 running CATOS? The interfaces are configured under a VLAN or as trunk. Could you please let me know which command is appropriate in order to check the current interface usage?
show mac x/x just show you the total packet received from the last clear. interface

show port counters
show port mac

try command
show port mac utilization x/x
you get 5 minutes input/output port rates
