The installation logs to some of our CiscoWorks LMS 2.6 servers seems to be lost and I would like to recover the database passwords.
Is there any way to reverse the "cwencryption" in the odbc.tmpl files? Any other options besides reinstalling the server?
BR,
Olof

No, not with changing the password.

You can use the NMSROOT/bin/dbpasswd.pl tool to reset the database passwords. For example, to change all database passwords at once:
NMSROOT/bin/perl NMSROOT/bin/dbpasswd.pl all

Thanks, that will solve my issue I guess.
Will there by any data loss at all?

Olof
