call manager authentication

I'm installing a new 4.2 call mgr and going to use authentication. The phones have built-in MIC's which are trusted by call mgr. Is there anyway to have callmgr not trust the MIC so that phone will not authenticate unless it has a lsc?

what is the purpose of always trusting the mic? doesn't that open the possibility of authenticating a "compromised" device?
