I have two locations in various cities that are 32Km apart, and I want to setup a metro ethernet between the two location. I'm assuming my only requirment would be to configure each switch with an Vlan ip address and have the information trunked between the two. Is this a correct assessment? thanks..

1) If you have a service provider shortlisted who is providing this ethernet circuit between the 2 cities.
2) And if having a single vlan trunked is the requirement then yes.
You just need to configure a vlan and pass it across the service provider uplink trunk.
