I thought that callmanager had to run on a server, not a router? I was told by a voice engineer that callmanager COULD run on a router, specifically in this case a 3845. Is this true??? Thanks.

Hi
'CallManager' won't run on a router - it will use the services of a router.
'CallManager Express' on the other hand, runs only on routers. Anything from a 1761 up to a 3845 can run it for varying numbers of phones. Aside from common hardware components, protocols and purpose the two are very different products.
