I seem to recall 4.1(3) BAT .xls file doesn't pass user validation username with two first or two last names?
eg
Leng Me Wan
Firstname,Lastname
Leng Me, Wan
Juan Meo Lee
Firstname, Lastname
Juan, Meo Lee

I think it is been fixed in the version 4.2(1)
