forwarding for SIP softphone not registered

I have setup several SIP softphones connecting to CME v4, but when the softphone is not running CME does not forward the call to voicemail as configured in the voice register dn (the call just dies). Has anyone set got this scenario working in CME before?

any help appreciated. thanks

Mhh... could you try configuring a lower precedence DP for voice mail, using same ext. number ?
