I have a laptop experiencing intermittent connectivity problems to a Pix 501 w/6.3. The laptop is at a site with a firewall I don't control. The firewall's sysadmin indicates other outbound Cisco VPN connections are OK.
The laptop in question connects to the PIX reliably but the connection drops randomly every couple of hours.
I haven't been able to catch the failure in the act and I don't have reports of any error messages.
I've updated the client from 4.8 to v5 without success. I've placed a second laptop on site to help diagnose/isolate an environmental source of the issue. I haven't learned much from the client side log files.
What else can I do to diagnose the problem further?

Is there only 1 client connecting?

No. Other clients, at different sites, are connecting to the PIX without problems.
