Hi

"Logging timestamp" shoud have done the trick. I just tested it in our lab : Pix 506E with 6.3(5)

Without timestamp:

Apr 23 10:38:59 10.228.53.195 ProdtoDTE %PIX-5-111008: User 'enable_15' executed the 'configure t' command

With timestamp:

Apr 23 10:39:18 10.228.53.195 Apr 23 2007 11:06:56 ProdtoDTE : %PIX-5-111008: User 'enable_15' executed the 'write mem' command.

Are you not seeing this ?

HTH

Jon

My experience is if you do a show run from the console the timestamps will not display, but if you look at the syslogs the timestamps will be there.

Hi, I won't see timestamps in the active mem (sh run) will I ?? I am NOT seeing them in my sh log via ssh. Haven't looked at the syslog server yet...thx.

Sorry, typo, I meant "show log". haha

found out we don't use syslog per se...just HPOV, etc. I've got one other reply from someone else on this, waiting to see if I can get it timestamping on this old vers pix code...I think we did get it working last week on another old vers code but not this one...hate the old code period...BTW-your last name is the name of the OLD Chicago WHite Sox Park - Comiskey Park.
