Hello All,
I am having some problems with a remote satellite station. Our Hub never lost the Rx. But the remote site lost Rx for about 1h. I attach the router log.
what conclusion can be drawn from the input errors? This is the only data I have to troubleshoot.
Any comment is much appreciated ... this link is giving me a big headache.
Kind regards.

From your initial description, is this a true remote satallite station and is this link a satellite link to your remote site? If so from the show interface command that you have shown us you are receiving CRC and FRame errors on your recive. This is indication of a carrier problem either with the link or the Carrier T system that you are using. I would suggest that you ask the carrier or investigate the media between your endpoint routers. You proabalby have an intermittent problem...Good Luck..

Yes, this is a satellite link in C band and the output attached is from the remote router.
The link is sometimes down for 1 hour and comes up alone, strange behaviour.
But the router "show log" doesnt show any interface reset nor carrier transitions.
What I dont understand is the amount of different input errors, why crc + frame + aborts + ignores, why this combination precisely? does this combination tell something more specific that i am missing?

Hi Ferazar,
basically when you get all the errors it just means garbage is on the line. The router will try to make a sense of it but it can't, so the result is all kind of errors mixed.
