Hello we are two students who are working with a radio network on our boarding school. We are going to send Internet down to our two boarding houses next to our school building, approximately 200m away. We would like to have some help with what settings we should use to get the most optimised performance.

Before Easter we started to try the connection between our houses. It worked down to house 2 but to house 1 it doesn?t work so good. It?s very slow and once in a while the connection is lost.

On the school building we have a AIR-AP1242AG-E-K9 with an external antenna (AIR-ANT2485P-R). And the receivers on the boarding houses are also AIR-AP1242AG-E-K9 with the external antennas AIR-ANT2410Y-R. (See the map in the attached file).

For now the AIR-AP1242AG-E-K9 on the schhol building act as a root bridge and the two others are used as workgroup bridges. The network is communicating on 2,4 ghz frequency.

We have only used the express setup/security to setup the network, do we have to use some more advanced settings?

Thanks for replies
