is PVDM and DSP just the same thing?

hello. i have cisco router 3660. i want to use voice. how many pvdm and dsp i should buy? is just the pvdm all that i need? is the pvdm included on the voice card? please help. tx guys :)

The PVDMs include the DSPs

I will refer you to SRND for CM 4.1.X

PVDMs

Table 6-8 and Table 6-9 show the number of DSPs that can reside on the two models of PVDMs or on fixed-configuration network modules. The PVDM2-xx modules are newer than the PVDM-256K-xx modules, and the two types are not interchangeable.

hi aramost...tx anyway. i saw about HDV.what is that? i have cisco 3660 do i need to buy HDV to implement voice? is what is the difference between hd1v and 2v and 2ve? i need to support 20fxo to pabx. do i need buy just pvdm or hdv too? tx
