Hello,

I am curious to know if there are ANY differences between the IGMP routing/snooping capabilities between the 3560, 3750 and 4948 switches. Any links, pointers, advice would be much appreciated.

Hi there Mike,

There is very little difference (depending on configuration) on the 3560 and the 3750, as they are essentially the same chassis.

The 4948 is a 4500 in a pizza box and is faster than the others, but also costs more! Then again, it is aimed for the data centre.

The real differences will come in the versions of IOS that you specify. Have a good read of the software advisor to make sure that you get what you're after.

You'll find the SA here:-
