Make a multiBRI router use no more than one BRI

Hi,

I have a Cisco 1721 with two BRI WIC's, and I use it to connect some remote routers, and among them some are one-BRI, and some are two-BRI ports.

With these last ones, I'd like to use no more than one BRI, so I can connect to two places at the same time.

How can I do that?

I have inserted a "badnwidth 128" command in the dialers, but no luck.

Thanks

Hi

I am not sure about ur config, but there must be a command "ppp multilink" in ur config. Remove that and see.

Desai, you're right, but in this way band is limited to one B channel per connection. I'd like to have one or two b-channels, depending on traffic.

The problem is that, depending on traffic, I'd like to have one or two channels, but I have also three or four, and that's too much, because no one can use this router while I do.

Ciao
